Friday Night Theme: “Wags and Waterskiing”
There's only one thing we love more than waterskiing and that is our dogs! Each week at practice our pups are right along side chasing sticks and bounding through the water. This week we honor all K9s especially those rescues. Be sure to get a pup cup at the show!

Join us on Saturday, December 7th at 11 am on Tom Hall Street for the Annual Fort Mill Christmas Parade that will usher the holiday season to town!
This year’s Grand Marshals, Fort Mill’s Final Volunteer Fire Firefighters, will lead the parade, beginning at Tom Hall and Unity Street, travel through historic downtown Fort Mill, exiting at Walter Elisha Park.
What will the ski team have for you this year?! Last year we had a chimney in our tow boat decorated for the night before Christmas!
Ski Ya at the parade!
Participants will have the opportunity to learn to ski on two skis. Those successful on two skis will be eligible to try a single slalom ski. Whether you’re learning to ski for the first time or just looking for a refresher, we’ll get you back on the water in no time.
Early Morning Session: 7:45am – 10am
Late Morning Session: 10:15am – 12:30pm
Pick a session (or both) and make your reservation early: space is limited. The cost is $50 per skier per session, which includes individualized instruction by some of our best skiers and instructors while being towed by our certified boat drivers. This Learn to Ski clinic is sanctioned by USA Water Ski.
There is no age limit to participate; however, the desire by the participant to learn how to water ski is important for his or her success. Additionally, it’s helpful if the participant knows how to swim to minimize fear of the water. No prior skiing experience is required. If you’re planning to register a skier who is younger than 8 years old, please contact marketing@carolinashowski.org.
We’ll fit you in a properly-sized life jacket and start with a brief dry-land instruction so you’ll understand how to get up on the water sooner. Time to get into the boats! Each boat will have four Learn to Ski participants to maximize time with the instructors. Sorry, spectators, you’ll have to watch from shore.
Once you are up, your instructor will continue to help by providing pointers while you’re skiing. Arms straight, knees bent, back straight. As one skier grows tired, Learn to Ski participants will rotate so everyone gets plenty of time on the water in the two-hour session. Each skier will progress at their own speed, receiving instruction appropriate for their level.
Participants are encouraged to bring the following:
sunscreen
a towel
water or a sports drink
a ski vest if you have one
(if you do not own a vest, we will provide one)
Coming to watch? Bring a camera with a big zoom lens.
In the event of inclement weather, this event will be rescheduled for a TBD Date In the event this clinic needs to be postponed, registrants will be notified by the phone and/or email address provided during your registration process.
